Former Penn State and NFL linebacker LaVar Arrington met with volunteer firefighters on Friday to rally for financial support for area fire companies.

HARRISBURG — LaVar Arrington came to Harrisburg Tuesday to talk about how important legal skill games are to military veterans.

When Hermie Sadler and his attorney Bill Stanley decided to go to court to challenge the state’s ban on skill games in June, a racing partnership wasn’t at the front of their plan. The duo recently announced their new Sadler-Stanley team sponsored by Pace-O-Matic, a skill games manufacturing company.

Last year, Ryan Newman concluded a 22-year-streak of competition in the NASCAR Cup Series.
